Rules & Regulations

 

Registration Conditions:

  • Registration is open for all nationalities.
  • Applicants “contestants” should register by writing their full names (first, father and family name).
  • UAE Identity Card is a must for the registration of UAE nationals/residents, and passports for non-UAE residents.
  • Falcons’ registration should be according to information shown on the website of the competition. Details should include photo, ring number, name and type of falcon.
  • Falconer’s card shall be issued against the payment of AED 100 (one hundred dirham).
  • Falcon’s E-Ring shall be issued against the payment of AED 50 (fifty dirham).
  • In case of loss or damage of falconer’s/ falcon’s card/E-Ring, the organizing committee should be informed immediately in order to issue a replacement card/E-Ring.
  • In case of manipulation, change or removal of the E-Ring by the participant the organizing committee will dismiss the falcon from competitions.
  • In case of losing a card, no replacement card/ transfer of a falconer’s card/falcon’s E-Ring shall be made if the remaining period to the start of the said competition is seven days.
  • AED 500 (Five hundred Dhs) shall be paid for a falcon ownership transfer.
  • Registration procedures/process could be completed on the website (www.efcad.ae), or at the site of the Club in Al Falah Area in Abu Dhabi.
  • In case of registration on the website; applicants should come in person to the site of the Club to complete their registration process, pay registration fees, and receive their participation cards. UAE ID/passport must be shown when completing the registration process at the Club.
  • No falcons will be allowed to take part in any of the competitions if it was not registered and equipped with a falcon E-Ring.
  • The website E-preparation procedures are mandatory for the falconry sport competitions, and no falcon will be allowed to take part in any of the competitions in case its not E-prepared on the official website (www.efcad.ae).
  • All applicants or their official representative must sign on the registration receipt to validate the given information, and the applicants take full responsibility for any incorrect given information. All applicants must preserve the registration receipt for any future reference.
  • In case the falcon ring information are not clear, or there is no evidence to prove and determine the category of the falcon, the registration committee will define through inspection session if the falcon can be accepted for registration.
  • The registration office will open during the official work days (Sunday to Thursday) from 8:00am to 5:00pm, any registration after this time will not be accepted.

 

 

Definition of Public Owner Category:

The Public Owner Category, is restricted to the participants who owns (8) falcons or less, (4 Farkh / 4 Jirnass), which has been trained directly by the registered owner and by his own personal expense , to participate at the falconry sport competitions.

 

Public Owner Category Conditions of Participation:

  • Falconer can participate with maximum number of (4) Farkh Falcons and (4) Jirnass Falcons total (8 ) falcons.
  • Falconer can participate with maximum number of (2) Falcons for any of the 4 assigned falcon categories (Jeer Shaheen / Jeer Tebaa / Jeer / Karmousha) for all the assigned rounds, and explained in any of the following options as follows:
    • (2) Falcons + (2) Falcons
    • (2) Falcons + (1) Falcon + (1) Falcon
    • (1) Falcon + (1) Falcon + (1) Falcon + (1) Falcon
  • Only the Owner of the falcons will be allowed to release the falcons during the competitions, no falcon will be allowed to partake if not released by its registered owner only.
  • The Falconer participating shall commit to wear the official UAE national dress.
  • In part of the oath / pledge, falconer shall commit to state that all his participating falcons were under his direct training and at his own personal expense.
  • Falconer is only allowed to participate at his own category, and he shall commit to participate within the public owner category only.
  • Falconer can add any purchased falcon qualified in the official competitions to his account only from within his participating category, and as per the ownership transfer procedures.
  • Falconer will be allowed to transfer purchased any falcon qualified in the official competitions to his account if and only it does not conflict with his allowed number of participating falcons. (8 Falcons (4 Farkh / 4 Jirnass)
  • Falconer is required to perform the oath / pledge statute for the Falconry Competitions 3 days prior to the competition start date. Participants who don’t complete the oath / pledge statute procedures will not be allowed to take part in the competitions.
  • Falconer shall commit to read the rules and conditions of participation, and shall be fully responsible for noncompliance of any of the stated guidelines.
  • Falconer shall commit to submit any official clarification or protest in an official written form, signed and addressed to the ADFC organizing committee, were the Falconer shall note to receive back the official reply within 24 hours or less.

 

 

Definition of Public Open Category:

The Public Open Category, is for the participants who owns an open number of falcons, to participate at the falconry sport competitions.

 

Public Open Category Conditions of Participation:

  • Falconer can participate with maximum an open number of Falcons (Farkh / Jirnass).
  • Only the Owner or the trainer of the falcons will be allowed to release the falcons during the competitions.
  • The Falconer and the trainer participating shall commit to wear the official UAE national dress.
  • In part of the oath / pledge, falconer shall commit to state that all his participating falcons are not of ownership of any royal highness and the training expenditure is not of royal highness.
  • Falconer is only allowed to participate at his own category, and he shall commit to participate within the public open category only.
  • Falconer can add any purchased falcon qualified in the official competitions to his account only from within his participating category, and as per the ownership transfer procedures.
  • Falconer is required to perform the oath / pledge statute for the Falconry Competitions 3 days prior to the competition start date. Participants who don’t complete the oath / pledge statute procedures will not be allowed to take part in the competitions.
  • Falconer shall commit to read the rules and conditions of participation, and shall be fully responsible for noncompliance of any of the stated guidelines.

Definition of Sheikhs Category:

The Sheikhs Category, is for the participants of the royal highnesses teams, who owns an open number of falcons (Farkh / Jirnass), to participate at the falconry sport competitions.

 

Definition of Al Hur And Al Shaheen (Ranch Breed)Category:

The Hur & Shaheen Category, is restricted to the participants who owns an open number falcons in both categories  (Farkh / Jirnass), which has been trained directly by the registered owner and by his own personal expense , to participate at the falconry sport competitions.

 

Al Hur And Al Shaheen (Ranch Breed) Category Conditions of Participation:

  • Falconer can participate with maximum number of Open Number of Falcons ( Farkh & Jirnass  ) falcons.
  • The Falconer participating shall commit to wear the official UAE/GCC national dress.
  • In part of the oath / pledge, falconer shall commit to state that all his participating falcons were under his direct training and at his own personal expense.
  • Falconer is only allowed to participate at his own category, the GCC participants committed  to their Rounds , and the all other Nationality Committed to Their own Rounds.
  • Falconer is required to perform the oath / pledge statute for the Falconry Competitions 3 days prior to the competition start date. Participants who don’t complete the oath / pledge statute procedures will not be allowed to take part in the competitions.
  • Falconer shall commit to read the rules and conditions of participation, and shall be fully responsible for noncompliance of any of the stated guidelines.
  • Falconer shall commit to submit any official clarification or protest in an official written form, signed and addressed to the ADFC organizing committee, were the Falconer shall note to receive back the official reply within 24 hours or less.

 

 

Telwah Category Conditions:

  • The distance of the competition is 400 meters as per the specified range by the competitions’ committee.
  • Time count will be made by laser Radar.
  • Calling for falcons shall be made by Telwah carriers only. Telwah carriers must wear UAE national dress.
  • Falconers are not allowed to push/thrust their falcons at the launching/discharge stage. Results of violating falcons will be dismissed.
  • There shall be rounds for “Sheikhs”, and rounds for “Public” participants.  
  • There shall be rounds for Farkh (bellow 1 year old) only, and rounds for Jirnass (one-year old falcons).
  • All falcons exceeding 2 minutes’ times who fails to fly on the launch start will be disqualified

 

Wireless Aircrafts Training Conditions:

  • Endurance round shall be for a distance of 800 – 2000 meters (to be decided by the Organizing Committee).
  • Teams to take part in this competition shall be composed of one pilot plus five falcons maximum.
  • Teams are responsible for availing and providing their own wireless aircrafts, crew all required equipment/tools.
  • It is allowed to take part with any type of wireless aircrafts (different engines) except for helicopters and jet crafts.
  • During the final rounds; each team is allowed to use 3 (three) aircrafts maximum.
  • Pilots must be of UAE or Gulf Region nationals only.
  • Results will be excluded and dismissed in case any respective aircraft goes outside the agreed upon trajectory.
  • Telwah rings or pigeons wings of 5-meter-length maximum should be tied to the aircraft. Violators will be dismissed.
  • In case any aircraft stops flying during the competition, it shall be dismissed and its result shall be canceled.
  • Final rounds are open to all categories of participants.
  • A “10seconds” penalty shall be inflicted for each deflection from the decided/agreed upon trajectory.

 

 

 

General Conditions:

  • In case of any violation, all falcons of the same respective falconer will be disqualified, and the falconer will never be able to take part in any future competitions.
  • The organizing committee has the right to delay the start of any competition due to any force majeure or bad weather conditions.
  • Any falcon registered with more than one name and for more than one category shall be disqualified.
  • The organizing committee has the right to disqualify/dismiss any falcon for any suspecting reason(s).
  • Soil falcons, ranch breed such as Hur or Shaheen categories will take part with in a specific Round for Soil Hur and Shaheen . only Wild Hur and Shaheen are not allowed to Take a Part in the PCFC.
  • The organizing committee will dismiss any falcon if it is to take part in a competition for the non-decided and agreed upon category.
  • Decisions of the organizing committee are final. Competitors have no right to obstruct or dispute such decisions whatsoever.
  • Falconers should commit to the conditions and registration procedures for any said category. All competitors should receive their participation cards one week prior to the date of the said competition.
  • The committee has the right to call any falcon(s) at any time for anti-doping tests, were the committee will have the full right to take any decision necessary in case of positive results of doping found.
  • Doping tests are mandatory for all winning falcons. Violating falcons will be dismissed and their results will be canceled including the falconer of the season results.
  • In case any falcon tested positive for doping, owner shall be dismissed and will never be allowed to take part in any future competitions.
  • All Participants are required to perform the oath / pledge statute, were the participant age shall not be below 18 years old.
  • The participant shall not have the right to object on any decision made by the competition committee when defining the time start of the competition, the mechanism of the draw, the set timings for the preparation in the falconers’ tent or on the official website, and all participants must comply with the announced decisions.
  • Falcons which are not officially registered in the competition will not be allowed to enter the falconers tent.
  • All participants who don’t arrive to the competition site on time of the competition start will be disqualified.
  • All participants must comply with the timing of the start line of the competitors based on their number and order of start defined for each falcon, the competition committee will have the right to disqualify any falcon that doesn't comply with its start time in order to ensure the continuing of the competitors start and bib order times.
